Originally designed to replace the control board in high end high volume crane games, the Ultra Crane Replacement Board can be used to replace/upgrade any crane game with DC motor drive. This board is intended to be run in high volume, high demand environments and offer special features to enhance profits and reduce service calls. Years of research has gone into the development of this board and includes operator input from some of the top crane operators from the USA and the UK, beach and resort locations, on-site evaluation and the experience from an engineer who has designed hundreds of reliable products for the coin industry as well as the total experience from Lupine Systems.

The Ultra Crane Board differs from the earlier Universal Crane by offering enhanced features including time/credit display, PWM claw power control, auto-percentage (when used with Prize Detectors), multi-level gaming control and direct compatability to many high end crane machines.

This board is a high end upgrade to the aging Smart 5th and 6th Generation CS-42 and CS-60 control boards with relay motor drive and for the early ICE Plush Bus unreliable H-bridge drive control boards. The Ultra Crane uses phase control for the motor direction and speed and incorporates high current, extremely high reliability TRIAC drivers. In the 25+ years I have been building custom crane boards, I have NEVER replaced a single motor driver on any board!

The Ultra Crane Board features time/credit display (optional) and can drive the Smart CS-Series displays directly as well as the ICE Plush Bus displays (when used with the proper wiring harness option). Betson displays, as well as Smart's 4th Generation only require replacement of the display plug. The Ultra Crane board will drive other manufacturer's displays as well and will drive any display board which uses raw common-cathode displays.

This feature-packed board has three levels of auto-percentage and is capable of holding the auto-percentage rate within 2% nominally. The operator has more than a single level of auto-percentage play to choose from, giving more control over the machine with regards to the specifics of the location. Auto-percentage will only work when used with Prize Detectors (optional).

Diagnostic LED's on the board constantly monitor the entire machine. With a glance you can tell exactly what limit switches are open/closed, which motor should be running and what state the entire machine is in. With 56 levels of time and current stress checks, the Ultra Crane monitors the entire carriage for errors and corrects for them if possible. The Ultra Crane will actually function with all of the carriage limit switches missing or in fault! Watchdog system reset and valid power detection makes this board virtually impossible to get "hung up" and burn out motors and claw coils. Error codes saved in diagnostic memory inform the operator in the event of an error. The Ultra Crane will shut down in the event of a "fatal" error, preventing motor burn-out and damage to the claw coil and/or merchandise.

One of the most advanced features of the Ultra Crane is the RS-232 interface. With this interface you can connect to your crane game and make game adjustments, read the cash meters or check up on the system integrity. This interface can be connected to a laptop with just a standard 9-pin dual serial cable. If used with an auto-answer modem, the crane can be connected to the Internet and thus can be monitored from anywhere on the planet! The interface is protected so settings cannot be changed without security clearance. Credits cannot be added through the Interface connection.
